Zahra Al-Kharji & her personal experience with breast cancer:
A huge number of people are unaware of how serious breast cancer is and what its side effects are. In this regards, the student association of GUST, organized an event just to emphasize how important the awareness is and how much of a great impact it can make on not only the behavior, but also the health of those who suffer from breast cancer. With the help of truly amazing event planners, The Hue Concept created a mini pink garden in the center of the campus. Within the garden, they interacted with other students in ways to raise funds. First, a flower fundraiser was organized where each student can buy a bouquet of flowers and the proceeds go to charity. Also a canvas was set up, where students donate to write an inspiring message on it; the canvas was also donated to charity. The highlight of the whole week was about Zahra Al Kharji’s personal experience with breast cancer. She moved to audience into a state of shock when she shaved her hair off in support of women who lost and are losing their hair due to the disease.
